Allwyn AG has appointed Khalid Reede Jones as Chief Executive Officer of Allwyn North America.
Jones brings more than two decades of experience across lottery operations, gaming regulation, licensing, and private investment. “Khalid brings a rare combination of commercial discipline, regulatory credibility and digital‑first thinking,” the company said.
Jones joins Allwyn having served in various senior executive roles across lottery, gaming enforcement, licensing and private investment for over two decades. He most recently worked at the Virginia Lottery as Executive Director between April 2024 and March this year.
Earlier in his career, Jones also spent time with All American Licensing, The Kolier Group, SourceRock Partners, BuckleySandler and Thrasher Funds.
In his new role, Jones will oversee Allwyn North America’s strategic growth, including its operations as the partner of the Illinois Lottery and its technology and gaming services across North American lottery markets.
He will also support the company’s broader expansion in the U.S. lottery sector. His responsibilities do not extend to Allwyn’s majority-owned fantasy sports operator, PrizePicks.
Allwyn CEO Robert Chvátal welcomed the appointment. “Khalid brings a rare mix of regulatory insight, commercial experience and a genuine commitment to responsible growth,” he said. “A digitally minded leader who understands the power of partnerships and innovation – I know his perspective and energy will be hugely valuable to our North American business.”
Jones will officially join Allwyn’s Chicago office on 6 July. He succeeds Wayne Pickup, who stepped down last November to join Australia’s The Lottery Corporation.
