A Missouri Lottery player has won a massive prize after securing a $50,000 payout from the 500X Payout scratch-off game.
The lottery was happy to provide additional details as to where the ticket was bought and what the implications were. For starters, the player, whoever they are, purchased their lucky ticket from a grocery store in University City.
Winner Says He Might Just Pay Off His Truck
The Schnucks at 6920 Olive Bld sold the $50 ticket, with the game among the more popular in the states, offering a total of $260 million in prizes. A top prize of $5 million is also available, and the odds of winning any given prize are set at 1 in 3.19.
So far, 500X Payout has paid out $36 million in prizes since it was first introduced in March, and $223.9 million remains unclaimed so far, with the top prize of $5 million and three supporting $1 million prizes also up for grabs.
The recent winner has already claimed the prize and has had a few words to share with the lottery.
“I get all the way down to the bottom of the ticket.
It was the second one from the bottom of the card. $100 prize with a 500x symbol,” the winner said, acknowledging that he had a hard time realizing what had just happened.
“I might pay off my truck. It’s still sinking in,” he added.
Seven-Figure Winners Materialize in Missouri
This is not the only big-time win to come out of the state of Missouri in recent days, as another lucky winner scooped a top prize worth $1 million from the aptly called $1,000,000 Money Blast scratch-off game.
The win occurred last week when a Buchanan County player bought their ticket at Casey’s at 401 E. Hyde Park Ave. in St. Joseph. The winner, a woman, also shared her excitement with the lottery.
“I was really freaking out. I was so blown away, I didn’t think it was real at first,” she noted.
