The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has reported the performance of the state’s gaming sector in Q2 2026, highlighting stable casino revenues and a noticeable decline in gross operating profit.
Revenues Remained Stable, Profits Declined
According to the DGE’s report, the net revenue submitted by the state’s casino licensees reached $844.5 million. This figure is equivalent to a year-on-year increase of 0.9%. At the same time, the Q2 gross operating profit plummeted 10.1% to $164.9 million.
The H1 figures paint a similar picture, with H1 net revenues increasing 0.2% to $1.57 billion and gross operating profit decreasing 15.5% to $269.6 million.
In the meantime, the DGE said that the hotel occupancy rate at the casino hotels for the second quarter of the year was 73.2%, marking an increase of 0.6% year-on-year. The occupancy rate for the first half of the year, on the other hand, was 69%, up 1.2% year-on-year.
A Breakdown Shows How the Various Licensees Performed
A breakdown of the performance of the nine casinos highlights Caesars and Ocean Casino as the only two venues to experience increases both in terms of net revenue and gross operating profit.

- Bally’s: Net revenue of $47.5 million (-3%) and operating profit of $2.1 million (-8.8%)
- Borgata: Net revenue of $218.4 million (+3.6%) and operating profit of $60.1 million (-4.7%)
- Caesars: Net revenue of $68 million (+7.7%) and operating profit of $12.9 million (+2.9%)
- Golden Nugget: Net revenue of $36.3 million (-6%) and operating profit of $2.9 million (-43%)
- Hard Rock: Net revenue of $148.4 million (-0.9%) and operating profit of $29.1 million (10.5%)
- Harrah’s: Net revenue of $69.6 million (+2.7%) and operating profit of $11 million (-6.8%)
- Ocean Casino: Net revenue of $142 million (+9.2%) and operating profit of $30.1 million (+12.2%)
- Resorts: Net revenue of $39.6 million (-20.3%) and operating profit of $474K (-95.2%)
- Tropicana: Net revenue of $66.6 million (-0.5%) and operating profit of $13.6 million (-8.7%)
- CIENJ: Net revenue of $8 million (-28.2%) and operating profit of $2.5 million (-43.5%)
