IGT’s Powerbucks slots generated two million-dollar-plus jackpots in Canada in August, with the combined payouts reaching nearly CAD$2.7 million (US$1.95 million).
The first jackpot, worth CAD$1,560,863.21 (US$1.12 million), was won by an online player in Quebec on 7 August while playing Mystery of the Lamp Treasure Oasis.
On 16 August, another online player in Quebec secured CAD$1,095,227.78 (US$789,389) through Powerbucks Blackjack.
Since Powerbucks Slots launched in Canada in 2016, the games have delivered more than 80 jackpots valued at CAD$1 million or higher, IGT said.
The company describes Powerbucks as the first omni-channel progressive jackpot system in the world.
