Big Time Gaming has brought back one of its best-known Megaways titles with Extra Chilli More Chilli, giving players in Spain the first opportunity to access the new release through Casino Barcelona. The game became available there on September 16, 2026, one week before its broader rollout.
The new title retains the Mexican market setting associated with Extra Chilli and runs on the Megaways engine, which can provide as many as 117,649 ways to win. Big Time Gaming has added Chilli Bonus Respins to the base game, creating a chance for one of four separate bonus effects to activate on any spin. The developer has also expanded the Free Spins feature with an unlimited multiplier and a gamble mechanic before the round begins.
The game is available on mobile and desktop through HTML5.
Four Chilli Bonuses Shape the Base Game
Each Chilli Bonus Respin applies a different change to the reels. Duplicate Wild uses Fireworks Wilds to add Purple Chilli Wilds in a random direction. Increased Ways ensures that every reel, including the Extra Reel position, shows at least four symbols.
Double Multiplier begins at x2 and rises by another two after each reaction. Chilli Wild changes every Green Chilli appearing on reels two through five into a Green Chilli Wild. Because any base game spin can trigger a Chilli Bonus Respin, the mechanic can introduce one of these effects before the player enters Free Spins.
Players can also use Power Play to increase the frequency of Chilli Bonus Respins. Activating that option costs five times the normal stake. A separate Bonus Buy option sends the player directly to 10 Free Spins and costs 100 times the original stake.
Free Spins Can Carry Multiple Chilli Bonuses
Landing three “HOT” Scatters starts 10 Free Spins and guarantees one Chilli Bonus. Each additional Scatter adds another Chilli Bonus until all four can run together. Scatters beyond that point award five more Free Spins.
The Chilli Bonuses selected for the feature remain active for the whole Free Spins round. The win multiplier starts at one and increases after every reaction without a stated upper limit. During Free Spins, Scatters can appear on the Extra Reel. Three Scatters there award four additional Free Spins, while four Scatters provide eight.
Before the feature starts, players can use the Free Spins Gamble Wheel to try to increase the number of Chilli Bonuses attached to the round. A successful gamble adds another Chilli Bonus. Players can press COLLECT to keep the bonuses already secured and begin the Free Spins feature.
