GR8_TECH reports faster iGaming platform after frontend rebuild

GR8_TECH has rebuilt the frontend architecture of its Platform for Champions, reporting an average Lighthouse score of 90-95 points and a load time of 1.72 seconds. This makes its platform the fastest one in the industry, the provider says, with top outliers not exceeding 75 points.

The company benchmarked more than 15 leading iGaming business-to-consumer sites, including traditional sportsbooks and casinos, crypto-native casinos and online prediction markets. The testing focused on mobile devices, which GR8_TECH accounts for the majority of iGaming traffic.

Only a third of the sites tested recorded a Speed Index below 3.4 seconds, placing them in the green zone, while more than 40% had load times above 5.8 seconds. After updates, GR8_TECH’s platform consistently loads in 1.72 seconds.

The full Lighthouse Index assesses five metrics, with only a handful of benchmarked brands scoring between 70 and 80 points. The company’s average score of 90-95 points led it to describe Platform for Champions as the fastest in the industry.

“Essentially, this means GR8_TECH’s platform loads faster than competitors’, giving end users a smoother experience they legitimately want to return to. For operators, this means higher player loyalty, time spent in sessions, retention rate, and, ultimately, higher revenue. Simply because of better tech,” said Edward Smyshliayev, CTO of GR8_TECH.

The frontend was rebuilt through two changes. The company moved from client-side rendering (CSR) based on React to a server-side rendering (SSR) architecture built on Qwik, shifting processing away from the end user’s device.

It also adopted edgecloud technology to render content closer to players, which makes a meaningful difference in regions farther from centralized infrastructure.

The changes preserve customization across its core surfaces, including the GREAT_SPORTSBOOK betting interface, casino lobby, cashier, registration and promotional pages.

“Speed and flexibility have historically been a trade-off,” Smyshliayev said. “Our updates remove the inevitability of having to choose. Operators continue using our CMS-driven, widget-based interface to customize layouts, promotions, and content without engineering involvement, while users enjoy a fast, uninterrupted experience.”

GR8_TECH’s updated platform will be rolled out to live brands following its first demo showcase at SBC Summit 2026 at booth C416.
