Pennsylvania regulator renews Live! Casino Pittsburgh licence for five years

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has unanimously renewed the Category 4 casino licence of Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC, operator of Live! Casino Pittsburgh in Westmoreland County, for another five years.

The board said the operator met the requirements of its existing casino licence, making it eligible for another five-year term.

The decision followed a review process that included public input and assessments from government officials, community groups, and regulatory agencies. A public input hearing was held in June 2025, during which casino personnel presented exhibits and testimony on the facility’s operations since its last licence renewal. Members of the public were also allowed to testify about the casino and its impact on the community.

The board considered information from local government officials, community groups, and the Pennsylvania State Police, as well as its Office of Enforcement Counsel, Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement, Office of Compulsive and Problem Gambling, and Bureau of Casino Compliance.

A further public hearing was held in Harrisburg on October 14, 2026, allowing board members to question representatives of Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC before voting on the renewal.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh, since opening in November 2020, has generated $647 million in gross revenue from retail slot machines, table games and sports wagering. It has also contributed $314.7 million in tax revenue to the Commonwealth.

The casino offers 748 slot machines, 40 table games and a retail sportsbook. It employs 569 people.

Further information about the casino is available in a presentation posted on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s website under the Board Meetings section for October 14.
