Electronic table game supplier Spintec has expanded its regulatory footprint after securing a gaming-related vendor licence in the United Arab Emirates and progressing its licensing position in Canada.
The UAE approval was granted by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority. It allows the Slovenia-based company to establish vendor relationships with commercial gaming operators licensed by the federal regulator.
“The UAE licence opens up new opportunities for us in the Middle East, where we are among the first licensed vendors to enter the market,” said Goran Sovilj, Spintec’s Chief Commercial Officer, as GGRAsia reports.
In Ontario, Spintec has secured a gaming-related supplier licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). The company worked with Canadian distributor Bet Rite throughout the licensing process, with the approval supporting their partnership and Spintec’s expansion in North America.
UAE Approval Opens New Market Access
The GCGRA licence gives Spintec a formal route to supply licensed commercial gaming businesses in the UAE.
The approval does not allow the company to operate a casino or offer gambling directly to consumers. Its role remains focused on supplying gaming technology and equipment.
The timing is significant as the UAE prepares for the opening of its first major integrated resort with casino gaming.
Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah is scheduled to open in September 2027. The US$5.7 billion project is managed by Wynn Resorts, which holds a 40% equity interest.
Spintec said the UAE licence places it among the early approved suppliers entering the market as the country develops its regulated gaming sector.
Bet Rite Supports Ontario Expansion
Spintec has worked with Bet Rite as part of its Ontario licensing process.
The companies announced their Canadian distribution agreement in February 2026, initially focusing on Spintec’s Charisma electronic table game range.
Bet Rite provides local support in areas including sales, installation and field service.
“We co-operated with our partner Bet Rite in the licensing process in Ontario. We have invested a lot of effort in it because it was extremely important to us. The newly acquired licence will enable us to solidify our partnership and further enhance our presence in North America. At the same time, the UAE licence opens up new opportunities for us in the Middle East, where we are among the first licensed vendors to enter the market. Both markets are incredibly important footholds for us.”
Ontario presents a more established regulatory environment than the UAE, with an existing land-based casino market and formal supplier requirements.
For Spintec, the Ontario development strengthens its North American presence while the UAE approval gives it access to a newly regulated jurisdiction.
Roulette Performance Supports Supplier Positioning
Alongside the licensing updates, Spintec highlighted the performance of its electronic roulette products.
The company said its roulette solution ranked first in Western Europe, Central Europe, Latin America and North America in the 2026 Eilers & Krejcik Gaming performance reports.
Spintec develops and manufactures electronic table games for casino operators, making regulatory approval a central part of its expansion strategy.
The two markets differ considerably in maturity, but both give the supplier additional opportunities to place its products with licensed operators.
