Hacksaw AB has appointed Philippa Gregory as Operational CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, with Marcus Cordes moving to lead development of the group’s B2B prediction markets business.
Gregory joined Hacksaw Gaming in April 2022 and has been part of group management since January 2025. She previously held senior compliance roles at the company, including chief compliance officer, after working at Bethard Group.
She will work alongside Cordes until December 1, 2026 before assuming full responsibility for Hacksaw Gaming’s operational leadership.
“Over the past five years, I have focused on building a strong management team, ready to take the company onto its next phase. Philippa has always been a natural successor in my eyes, and I was pleased to recommend her appointment. This allows me to return to what I do best and focus on where I can create the most value for the Group. I will continue to support Hacksaw Group, with the same commitment to building long-term value,” says Marcus Cordes, director of Hacksaw Gaming.
Gregory said: “I know this company, I know our people, and I see significant potential ahead. My priority as Operational CEO is to continue strengthening our core business, with clear accountability, disciplined execution and a firm focus on profitable growth.”
Cordes Moves to Hacksaw Markets
Cordes, who has served as operational CEO since February 2022, will now focus on Hacksaw Markets and the development of its management team.
The division represents the group’s B2B prediction markets business and forms part of Hacksaw’s broader technology platform strategy.
Group CEO Ana Vrabic Verdir said in a press release:
“This transition gives both businesses the dedicated leadership and focus needed to support our group strategy. Philippa brings the experience and knowledge of the company to take Hacksaw Gaming forward, while Marcus focuses on building Hacksaw Markets,”
Hacksaw has also appointed Chief Commercial Officer Luke Hammett to the group management team.
Hammett has worked with the company since its early years, focusing on commercial activities and customer relationships alongside Cordes and Gregory.
Q3 Revenue Rises 12%
The management changes were announced as Hacksaw reported continued growth for the third quarter of 2026.
Revenue reached €58.1 million for the three months ended September 30, up 12% year-on-year.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 15% to €48.3 million, while operating profit rose 17% to €47.8 million.
Profit before tax reached €48.3 million. After €2.6 million in tax, quarterly profit stood at €45.7 million, compared with €38.7 million a year earlier.
Average daily rounds played increased 19% year-on-year.
Hacksaw’s OpenRGS platform contained 399 titles at the end of the quarter, up from 268 a year earlier. The top 10 games accounted for 52% of total gross gaming revenue, compared with 45% in Q3 2025.
“At the beginning of this year, we adjusted the development roadmap by changing the game ratio as we broadened our focus across specific markets,” Verdir said. “As that roadmap materialised recently, the resulting game mix did not deliver the level of performance we have experienced historically.
“We view this as a temporary headwind and we have since adjusted the balance of our roadmap, where we will focus on building on the game styles and strengths that have historically driven our success while continuing to develop content for a broader range of markets.
“We are confident that our in-house game release cadence can support it. We expect the shift in game mix to normalise over the next months, however, the current game mix may have an impact on our short-term performance.”
Nine-Month Profit Reaches €136.9 Million
For the first nine months of 2026, Hacksaw generated €175 million in revenue, an increase of 23%.
Operating profit rose 27% to €142.8 million, while pre-tax profit increased 34% to €144.3 million.
After €7.4 million in tax, profit reached €136.9 million, up 36% year-on-year.
“We have a clear strategy and path to execution: remaining a technology- and AI-first business, continuing to strengthen our core offering, using our platform to expand into new areas and disrupt the industry,” Verdir said.
“With this foundation, I remain confident in our ability to deliver on our long-term ambitions and create long-term value for our shareholders.”
The leadership changes separate responsibility for Hacksaw Gaming and Hacksaw Markets as the group continues expanding its gaming platform while building its prediction markets business.
