Kaban Casino-Hotel Schedules Boracay Soft Launch for Sept 16

Kaban Hotel and Casino Boracay is preparing to welcome guests on September 16, 2026, with the six-storey property beginning operations at Station 0 in Barangay Yapak. The opening introduces what has been described as Boracay’s first hotel-casino venue licensed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor), ahead of a larger formal launch planned for October.

The 88-room property forms part of a broader 23-hectare development led by Philippines-based Golden TW Realty and Development Corp. Its September opening will introduce hotel accommodation, gaming facilities and several leisure amenities at the northern end of one of the  best-known tourist islands in the Philippines.

The casino occupies approximately 2,000 square metres and holds a Pagcor licence. Its gaming offering includes table games, slot machines and electronic gaming stations. Access to the casino and associated gaming promotions is restricted to guests aged 21 and above under applicable rules.

September Opening Starts Wider Launch Schedule

As GGRAsia reports, The September 16 date will serve as Kaban’s public soft opening, while the operator’s promotional calendar identifies October 11 as its grand launch date. The same October date is tied to the grand draw for the First Millionaire promotion, which begins at noon on September 16 and offers a prize pool of PHP1 million.

The hotel has already made rooms available through its booking system. Its accommodation ranges from boutique room options to a presidential suite.

Kaban is also promoting its Star Rewards membership programme, which is free to join. Membership is required for rated casino play and participation in relevant gaming promotions. The published promotion rules require eligible participants to be verified members aged at least 21, physically present and using their membership card.

Dining operations will also begin alongside the soft launch. Lamii All-Day Dining is scheduled to start serving guests on September 16, with the property offering seven food and beverage venues in total.

“Kaban is more than a destination. It is our promise to bring world-class entertainment and heartfelt Filipino hospitality together, creating a place where culture, leisure, and celebration come together,” said Kevin Wong, president and chief executive officer of Kaban.

Additional facilities at the complex include Sigla Spa, an outdoor swimming pool and a VIP lounge. Guests will also have access to a children’s play area, lobby café and rooftop bar. The property has also promoted a sports bar as part of its hospitality offering.

Station 0 Development Extends Beyond Kaban

Kaban sits at Station 0, an area at the northern end of Boracay around Barangay Yapak. The location forms part of Golden TW Realty’s longer-term plans to expand commercial and leisure facilities away from the island’s established beachfront areas.

The company is developing Boracay Central as another part of the project. The lifestyle shopping centre is scheduled to open during the fourth quarter of 2026.

Kaban’s rollout has also included local recruitment. Around 40 percent of the property’s initial workforce comes from Aklan, the province surrounding Boracay.

The hotel-casino’s name comes from the Tagalog word for “treasure chest.” Its branding also features a five-card star emblem.

Ahead of the October launch, Kaban has scheduled promotional activity elsewhere on Boracay. Pop-up activations are planned at Station 1 and Station 2 through October 18, allowing visitors to participate in games and register for Star Rewards outside the Station 0 property.

For travellers arriving through Caticlan, the property has outlined a journey involving a short transfer to the jetty, followed by a boat trip to Cagban and then a road transfer north to Station 0. Visitors using Kalibo International Airport face an additional drive to Caticlan before completing the same island transfer.

Casino Launch Adds to Boracay Hospitality Plans

Kaban’s opening comes as regulated gaming continues to form part of the Philippines’ broader tourism and entertainment sector under Pagcor oversight. The property’s casino floor operates separately from the other hotel facilities, allowing guests who do not use the gaming area to access accommodation and dining services.

The Station 0 venue is also separate from larger casino developments previously proposed elsewhere on Boracay. It operates as an 88-room hotel-casino rather than the larger-scale resort projects discussed for other parts of the island.

A larger ceremony is planned for October, with cultural and entertainment programming expected to accompany the property’s full launch. The October 11 schedule also coincides with the conclusion of Kaban’s opening promotion and its PHP1 million grand draw.

With the soft opening scheduled for September 16, Kaban will begin operating its hotel, casino and dining facilities while Golden TW Realty continues work on its wider Station 0 development and the planned Boracay Central opening later in 2026.
