OpinionKings Launches Creator-Focused Prediction Market App

OpinionKings has introduced its iOS application, combining creator-driven content with prediction markets through a social media-style interface. The platform allows users to follow discussions, view short-form content and participate in simulated prediction trading within the same environment.

Founded by Harshit Geddam, OpinionKings aims to merge elements of social networks and event-based trading platforms. The company’s approach differs from traditional prediction market services by placing creator content at the centre of user engagement, allowing audiences to discover market ideas directly through posts and videos.

“We are into prediction markets, but at the same time we are a social media layer on top of prediction markets,” Geddam told NEXTPredict. “On OpinionKings, people can do the same thing, but they can also trade within the same platform.”

The launch comes as prediction markets continue gaining attention in the United States, where platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket have already established operations. OpinionKings currently operates with virtual currency, while the company works toward regulatory approval for real-money trading.

Creator Content Integrated With Prediction Markets

The OpinionKings app uses a short-form video format internally called “reels,” designed to resemble the content feeds popularised by platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. New users receive $10,000 in virtual funds, allowing them to practise paper trading without using real money.

The platform also includes creator profiles, communities, personalised market feeds and tools that allow users to follow trading activity. Creators can share market views and trading signals through private topic-based channels, while a leaderboard highlights popular traders on the platform.

OpinionKings said the app is intended for users interested in areas including sports, politics, finance and major global events. The service also offers portfolio tracking, watchlists, market searches, notifications and secure accounts.

The company said creators will have opportunities to build audiences and generate revenue from their knowledge. Harshit Geddam explained that the platform was designed around the role creators increasingly play in shaping how people consume information.

“OpinionKings was built to give creators a genuine opportunity to monetise their knowledge while building highly engaged communities. The creator economy has forever changed how people consume information, yet there has never been a platform that successfully combines creator-led content with prediction markets in a meaningful way.

“We’ve built a platform where creators aren’t simply publishing opinions – they’re driving conversations, helping audiences better understand events and creating new revenue opportunities through their expertise. Our vision is to make prediction markets more social, transparent and accessible.”

Company Plans Real-Money Expansion

Although users can currently only trade with virtual funds, OpinionKings is preparing for a future transition to real-money markets. The company is seeking licensing approval and plans to provide liquidity to larger exchanges after obtaining the necessary permissions.

Geddam said the platform is also raising a bridge round, followed by plans for a seed round and Series A funding to support development, licensing efforts and expansion.

The company is focusing heavily on younger audiences, particularly Gen Z users who are accustomed to social media-based experiences. Geddam said the platform format is designed to make prediction markets easier to access for people who may spend more time on social platforms than dedicated trading applications.

“Prediction markets are already attracting significant interest, but engaging the next generation requires a more social experience,” said Geddam. “For Gen Z, integrating social media and prediction markets can make discovering, discussing and acting on real-world events a much more engaging experience.”

OpinionKings currently has around 800 users. The company aims to reach 15,000 users when real-money trading begins and expects to grow to between 24,000 and 25,000 users by the end of next year. The company expects creator partnerships to play a major role in attracting new users.

The OpinionKings iOS application is available as a free download through the Apple App Store, with optional premium features available for users seeking additional functionality. Geddam is also scheduled to speak at a start-up event in New York in October ahead of the company’s planned move toward real-money trading.
