Advent Allen acquires Las Vegas Strip site for Top Gun-themed entertainment experience

Advent Allen Entertainment has acquired a 2.48-acre site on the Las Vegas Strip that will become the home of Top Gun Vegas, an immersive entertainment destination developed in partnership with Paramount.

Located at 4815 South Las Vegas Boulevard, the site will feature the Hard Deck restaurant and bar from Top Gun: Maverick, alongside immersive attractions, interactive experiences, retail outlets, and experiential dining inspired by the Top Gun franchise.

Bill Allen, Co-founder of Advent Allen Entertainment, said securing the property marks a key milestone for the project and supports the company’s goal of creating a world-class entertainment destination for visitors and locals.

“The combination of an extraordinary location, one of the world’s most recognized entertainment brands, and our collaboration with Paramount provides an exceptional foundation for success,” he stated.

The company previously announced that the attraction would open in 2028 near The STRAT Hotel, Casino, and Tower, but it seems plans have changed.

The property now fronts Las Vegas Boulevard and backs onto Harry Reid International Airport, with the developers saying the location complements the project’s Hangar 2-inspired design. It is situated just north of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign and near the Las Vegas Athletics’ future ballpark, within a growing sports and entertainment district.

Mark Advent, Co-founder of Advent Allen Entertainment and Creator of the New York-New York Hotel & Casino, said the Las Vegas Strip site and its proximity to Harry Reid International Airport make it the ideal location for Top Gun Vegas, with the Hangar 2-inspired design intended to blend “the excitement of aviation” with the city’s entertainment appeal.

“This is exactly where Top Gun belongs,” he said. “Like Top Gun itself, we believe in striving to be the best of the best, never settling for ordinary, and pursuing excellence in everything we do.”

Josh Silverman, President of Global Products and Experiences at Paramount, said the project will offer fans an immersive way to experience the Top Gun franchise while celebrating its legacy.

The Top Gun franchise, starring Tom Cruise as naval aviator Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, spans two films released in 1986 and 2022. Top Gun: Maverick grossed approximately US$1.49 billion at the global box office.

“We are proud to see Top Gun Vegas reach this significant milestone,” Silverman said. “The Top Gun films have captivated audiences around the world for nearly four decades, and the Advent Allen Entertainment team has found a location in Las Vegas that exemplifies the spirit of the franchise.”

The companies said additional details, including renderings, attractions, development milestones, and other project features, will be announced as construction progresses.
