Altenar is highlighting enhancements to its Bet Builder product as the 2026 NFL season gets underway, giving operators more options to create betting combinations around major fixtures.
The NFL regular season began this week, including the first regular-season NFL game in Australia. The international focus of the 2026 season could provide additional opportunities for operators to engage audiences across different markets.
One of the latest features, Bet Builder Direct Calculation, allows players to combine compatible selections directly from market groups without moving to a dedicated Bet Builder view. The feature is designed to simplify the process of combining selections across multiple markets within the same event.
Bet Builder Bundles group related selections into structured betting paths, allowing operators to present combinations in a more accessible format. According to Altenar, both Direct Calculation and Bet Builder Bundles were introduced for other sports earlier this year and have already been used to enhance its Bet Builder offering.
The enhancements are part of Altenar’s broader product development programme, which also includes expanded micro markets powered by third-party providers, automated Bet Cards and Popular Bet Builders, Player Tags and a redesigned Sport Lobby.
“Major events like the NFL season create a strong opportunity for sportsbooks to offer richer and more engaging betting experiences, but the technology behind those experiences needs to be flexible enough to support different player preferences and betting behaviours,” Giannis Papakonstantinou, Director of Sportsbook Product at Altenar, said.
“With our latest Bet Builder enhancements, operators can make it easier for players to discover and combine relevant selections while retaining greater control over how those opportunities are presented,” he said.
“As the NFL season gets underway, this flexibility becomes particularly valuable across a market where player props, team performance and multiple in-game outcomes can all contribute to a more engaging betting experience,” he added.
