ompiled by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), the AGEM Index for August showed an all-time high of 1,012.89 after an increase by 87.57 points, which is a 9.5% gain from July 2021.
In the last month, nearly all AGEM Index companies reported increases in stock price, with 10 of them posting positive contributions and two recording a negative contribution to the index.
This growth was mainly due to a 9.7% increase in the stock price of Australian slot machine supplier, Aristocrat Leisure Limited, which rose from $41.64 to $45.67. This had as a result an increase of 26.73 points.
Compared to the prior year, the AGEM Index was up 109.9%, doubling the numbers of August 2020.
The AGEM Index is a monthly stock performance guide comprising 12 global gaming suppliers. It is calculated based on the month-end stock price of each company, and weighted based on approximation of market capitalization.
