iGaming content provider BGaming has released Bonanza Billion Merge Up+, the latest title in its Bonanza Billion series. The #Entertainment category slot pairs the visual style of the series with a revised version of the company’s Merge Up mechanic.
In standard cascading gameplay, winning symbols disappear, and new symbols drop in to fill the empty positions. The updated Merge Up mechanic changes this process because winning symbols also merge and leave behind a symbol that is already on the reels, which raises the chance of a subsequent win.
The more of a particular symbol that is already in play, the higher the likelihood that a merge produces that same symbol.
According to BGaming, the rework addresses a common issue that players face with cascading games. It refined the feature with feedback from players and streamers so it could deliver the best possible playing experience.
Five years of fruit and gems
The Bonanza Billion series launched five years ago, and BGaming said it has been a major success for the company, with players drawn to its fruit-and-gem design and its gameplay.
The new release keeps familiar elements from the series, including a free spins bonus with multipliers of up to x100. Players can also access a Buy Bonus option that costs x100 the player’s stake.
The numbers behind the reels
Bonanza Billion Merge Up+ runs on a high-volatility math model. The game offers a maximum win of x15,000 and a return to player (RTP) rate of 97.04%.
