The Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting (CIBELAE) has formally endorsed the inaugural SiGMA North America 2026, taking place September 1-3 at Centro Banamex in Mexico City, through an official letter of support.
CIBELAE President Javier Milian signed the organization’s letter of endorsement, which recognizes SiGMA North America as one of the international meeting points for the iGaming and betting industry.
The organization said the event provides a setting for industry leaders, policymakers, regulators and innovators to discuss regulatory systems, responsible gaming, technological innovation, international cooperation and market development. It also said the speaker and exhibitor program provides an opportunity for knowledge exchange and the development of strategic alliances across regional and international markets.
The organization said it supports initiatives aimed at the transparent, sustainable and properly regulated development of the sector and regards the summit as a forum for advancing those objectives.
In addition to lending its institutional support, CIBELAE will combine a conference and exhibition presence at SiGMA North America.
CIBELAE Executive Director Rodrigo Cigliutti is scheduled to participate on September 3 in “The Red Pen Forum: Regulators Respond to the Industry,” a session in which operators will submit anonymous feedback for regulators to address live. The organization will also operate stand 143BR in Hall D, near AIEJA’s dedicated lounge and among more than 200 commercial exhibitors and sponsors, including platform and payment providers.
Another B2G-focused session that day, “Gaming, Economic Growth & Global Dialogue: Why Summits Matter for Governments, Regulators and Policymakers,” will include AIEJA’s Miguel Ángel Ochoa Sánchez and Karina Morales, Director General of Guatemala’s Lotería del Niño. The panel will examine the relationship between gaming expansion and jobs, tax revenue and local investment.
CIBELAE is an international non-governmental organization with a regional mandate and an expanding international presence. It is recognized as an Associate member of the World Lottery Association, the professional body representing state lottery and gaming organizations across more than 80 countries on six continents.
The endorsement is Milian’s second for a SiGMA event this year. In July, he signed a letter supporting SiGMA World 2026 in Rome in his capacity as President of El Salvador’s Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia.
Organizers expect SiGMA North America 2026 to attract 4,000 delegates, 1,000 operators, and more than 150 speakers over three days. Nearly half of the attendees are expected to be at C-suite level.
