Control F5, a services provider for gambling operators, and PreviNEO, a start-up that uses artificial intelligence for health prevention, announced the launch of Ludriq, a predictive tool for the prevention of problem gambling aimed at the Brazilian market.
Developed by PreviNEO, Ludriq will provide a reliable risk assessment of people who could develop gambling problems. This solution is based on scientific studies and takes into account the peculiarities of the Brazilian population.
Since the regulation of sports betting in Brazil, “Responsible Gaming policies have become mandatory,” so “Ludriq has become a fundamental resource to operate in the Brazilian market,” Control F5 stated in a press release.

About the tool, the company explained that the algorithms were developed by Dr. Carlos Augusto Maranhão de Loyola, a psychiatrist specializing in clinical psychiatry, chemical dependency, and forensic psychiatry.
“Ludriq is predictive, that is, it offers the user a risk forecast for the development of gambling problems, which can end up turning a hobby into a major mental health problem,” Maranhão explained.
“At the same time, the tool can help with a possible diagnosis if the user already has inappropriate gambling behavior, as well as contribute to the psychoeducation of the user, considering that the general knowledge of Brazilians about mental illnesses and their risk factors is still very low,” he argued.
For his part, Fernando Gonçalves, a specialist in Relevant Legal Affairs Management and founding partner of FGo Legal, a partner company of the project, stated that Ludriq “allows the user to perform a self-assessment, based on reliable algorithms developed by experts and with the assurance that their data is processed by an independent company.”
“Proof of the implementation of measures to prevent disorders related to compulsive or pathological gambling was established as a mandatory policy by Law 14,790/23 and Ordinance 1,330/23 of the Ministry of Finance. Both regulations make it clear that operators must demonstrate their commitment to practical and effective prevention measures,” he added.
