Sports betting brand DAZN Bet has further strengthened its North American footprint by launching in the regulated Canadian provinces of Ontario and Alberta in partnership with sportsbook provider Altenar.
The expansion follows DAZN Bet’s entry into the Austrian market last year, marking another milestone in the company’s international growth strategy. By leveraging Altenar’s sportsbook technology, DAZN Bet is now also delivering its sports betting offering to customers across two of Canada’s regulated jurisdictions.
The launch also follows Alberta’s recent opening of its regulated online gambling market on 13 July, which creates new opportunities for licensed operators to establish an early presence in one of North America’s most anticipated iGaming markets.
DAZN Bet and Altenar said the dual-market launch demonstrates the strength of their long-standing partnership, enabling DAZN Bet to scale efficiently while maintaining a high-quality sportsbook offering tailored to local regulatory requirements and player expectations.
Manos Mytilinaios, Regional Manager at Altenar, commented: “We are delighted that DAZN Bet continues to place its trust in Altenar as its sportsbook technology partner. Expanding together into Ontario and also Alberta is an exciting milestone for both companies.
“It reflects the confidence our partners have in Altenar’s technology, flexibility and ability to support ambitious international growth. We look forward to continuing this successful journey together as DAZN Bet expands into regulated markets.”
Richard Rawlinson, Managing Director of DAZN Bet for Canada, commented: “Launching DAZN Bet in Ontario and Alberta represents another important step in our international growth strategy. As we continue expanding into regulated markets, having a trusted technology partner is essential to delivering the high-quality sportsbook experience our customers expect.
“Altenar has consistently demonstrated the flexibility, reliability, and expertise needed to support our ambitions, and we look forward to building on this successful partnership as we continue to grow.”
