EGT Digital has integrated its casino games into SportPesa’s platform as the gaming content provider seeks to expand its presence across Africa.
The partnership gives SportPesa customers access to EGT Digital’s in-house-developed casino portfolio, adding to the range of gaming content available on the platform.
Founded in Nairobi in 2014, SportPesa operates in Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa. The company offers sports and live betting, casino content, jackpots, and other digital gaming products.
“SportPesa is a highly recognised name in African gaming, with deep knowledge of its markets and customers,” Zsuzsanna Zeibig, General Manager of EGT for Africa, said. “This makes the partnership particularly important for us as we continue to expand EGT Digital’s presence across the continent. We are delighted to bring our gaming content to SportPesa’s players and see strong potential to develop this collaboration further.”
SportPesa has more than a decade of experience in African gaming. It was the first digital betting company in Kenya, where it initially offered betting services through short message service (SMS) and unstructured supplementary service data (USSD).
The operator has also supported grassroots and professional sports initiatives, building relationships with local communities across Africa. Its regional experience, customer reach, and focus on digital services are expected to support EGT Digital’s efforts to grow its business across the continent.
Adam Beighton, Director of Commercial Operations at SportPesa, said the partnership would give customers more choice and a richer gaming experience.
“As a business founded on digital innovation, this collaboration takes us back to our roots while helping us build for the future,” he said. “EGT Digital’s high-quality, cutting-edge games are an excellent fit for our platform, and we look forward to working together as SportPesa continues to take Africa’s gaming experience to the next level.”
The agreement is part of EGT Digital’s international expansion strategy, which centres on working with established operators to distribute its internally developed gaming portfolio and provide content suited to regulated markets worldwide.
