EGT tops Bulgaria’s intellectual property application rankings for second consecutive year

Bulgarian gaming equipment manufacturer EGT has ranked first among legal entities with the highest intellectual property application activity in Bulgaria for the second consecutive year, according to the 2025 edition of the National Map of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The rankings were announced during the official presentation of the annual report at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia on October 22. EGT Digital was also recognized at the ceremony for its achievements in intellectual property.

The National Map of Intellectual Property is an annual initiative led by UNWE in cooperation with national institutions and organizations. It examines intellectual property activity across Bulgaria and its contribution to innovation, economic development, and national competitiveness.

EGT received a Certificate for Achieved Results in recognition of its intellectual property application activity. The certificate was presented by UNWE Vice-Rector for Research Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Vodenicharova and accepted by EGT Marketing Director Jeni Koussarova.

Commenting on the recognition, Koussarova said: “This recognition is an important assessment of the work we put into developing the company’s intellectual property and of our sustained activity in this field. It is particularly valuable that the report provides a measurable picture of the contribution of Bulgarian businesses to innovation and the country’s competitiveness.”

“We are very pleased that this year’s results place EGT first among the companies with the highest application activity, which is an achievement we are particularly proud of. I would like to thank UNWE and all the institutions and organizations behind the initiative, as well as the entire EGT team whose work stands behind this achievement.”

The latest ranking marks EGT’s second consecutive year at the top of the national intellectual property application activity rankings.
