rgentine tennis player Diego Schwartzman is the brand global ambassador. What kind of events or marketing actions are you planning with him?

We are incredibly proud to have such a high-achieving global brand ambassador, to the likes of Peque Schwartzman, for the first time in AstroPay’s history. Having achieved several victories in international tournaments such as Roland Garros and the US Open, to name a few, Schwartzman is also part of the generation of top 100 Argentine tennis players born in the early 1990s. We wanted to sponsor a well-known personality that was well aligned with some of AstroPay’s values, which include being hard work oriented to achieve excellent results, having talent and discipline, as well as being able to generate brand awareness among their followers, hence why Peque Schwartzman came across as the perfect fit to represent our brand.

It is a one-year sponsorship deal including collaboration on future product online marketing campaign, as well as Schwartzman wearing his outfit with AstroPay’s logo.

How can sports sponsorship boost a brand like AstroPay?

Big sporting events are very popular and gain massive global attention, creating exceptionally vast opportunities for sponsorship as well as having such a wide variation in viewership demographics. According to Statista, the global sports sponsorship market was worth an estimated 57 billion U.S. dollars in 2020 and is expected to grow to almost 90 billion U.S. dollars by 2027. With football undoubtedly being one of the highest-grossing sports, having an estimated viewership of 4.7 billion viewers, as well as covering around 212 countries, the Premier League presents an array of opportunities to raise awareness. This is the reason why we decided to partner with key Premier League teams such as Burnley FC, Newcastle United FC and the Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.
