Flutter has been ranked 41st globally in TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2026, its highest position since the annual ranking was launched in 2023.
The company has featured on the list every year since its debut, when it ranked 597th in the inaugural edition.
The ranking, produced by TIME in partnership with Statista, evaluates companies across three areas: employee satisfaction, financial performance, and sustainability transparency. Employee satisfaction is based on surveys of employees worldwide, while financial performance is measured through revenue growth over multiple years. Sustainability transparency is assessed using publicly disclosed environmental, social and governance (ESG) data.
Unlike rankings that primarily consider brand recognition or public profile, TIME’s assessment looks at how employees view their workplace, the company’s financial performance, and how openly it reports on its environmental, social and governance impact.
Flutter said the latest recognition reflects the company’s business performance and long-term growth, as well as the experience and contribution of its employees across its operations. The company also highlighted the significance of being recognised by TIME, which has covered and assessed the business world for more than a century.
Lisa Sewell, Chief People Officer at Flutter, said the company’s consistent presence on the list since its launch reflects the contribution of employees across its brands and markets. “Being recognized by TIME every year since this list began says something more durable than any single result,” she said. “It reflects the work of colleagues across every brand and every market we operate in — the people who build our products, serve our customers and hold us to the standards we have set ourselves.”
Flutter scored 87.99 out of 100, ranking 14th for sustainability transparency, which received a high rating, as per a Casino.org report. Its revenue growth was also classified as “very high.” However, the company ranked 501st out of 1,000 companies for employee satisfaction.
Formed from the 2016 merger of Paddy Power and Betfair, Flutter acquired a controlling stake in FanDuel in 2018 and adopted the Flutter Entertainment name in 2019. The Dublin-based group is now the world’s largest online betting operator. Its portfolio includes FanDuel, Sky Bet, PokerStars, Sportsbet, and Adjarabet. Regulatory filings show that Flutter employs more than 28,500 people worldwide.
Las Vegas Sands and MGM Resorts were the only other gaming companies included in TIME’s World’s Best Companies ranking. Las Vegas Sands, the world’s largest casino operator by market capitalisation, ranked 263rd, while MGM Resorts placed 499th.
