The Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort is set to open a new 7,300-square-foot enclosed non-smoking gaming area on August 24th, expanding its overall casino floor with 224 additional slot games. Located near the William Hill Sportsbook, the new gaming space will feature titles supplied by nearly a dozen gaming manufacturers alongside a full-service bar. Unlike the property’s existing non-smoking section, this expansion offers a completely separate and fully enclosed environment for patrons seeking a smoke-free venue.
According to Kevin Glass, general manager at the Las Vegas Palms, the decision to construct the space was driven directly by guest feedback requesting expanded non-smoking options. The operator aims to deliver a fresh playing environment by combining more than 200 modern games with a dedicated beverage program. Management highlighted recent recognition naming the resort among the luckiest casinos in the country as inspiration for expanding room for winning guests.
An official grand opening ceremony is scheduled for September 1st at 4 p.m., beginning with the inaugural Spin It Forward Celebrity Charity Slot Challenge presented by IGT, followed by a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event will gather local personalities to compete on behalf of 10 Southern Nevada non-profit organizations. Each participating charity will receive a $2,500 donation from the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority and $1,000 in slot play provided by IGT.
Organizations benefiting from the grand opening include the Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, the UNLV Chapter of Advancing Indigenous Science and Engineering Society, Proud to Rescue Benevolent Fund, Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary and Training Fund, SAFE House, PBS Southern Nevada, The Ability Center, Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada, Springs Preserve Foundation, and Teach For America Nevada.
The expanded space at the Las Vegas Palms will introduce a dedicated beverage menu featuring rotating draft beers from local breweries and specialty cocktails. Offers include a nitro tequila-based carajillo cocktail and three premium bourbon and Scotch flights priced at $10. Visitors at the property can also participate in September promotions for Club Serrano members, including Hot Seat events from September 1st to September 3rd and Thursday night drawings on September 10 and September 17th for free slot play rewards.
With this expansion, the Palms continues to adjust its venue layout to meet evolving demand for clean air options while maintaining robust promotional incentives. Management at the resort expects the venue to attract both regular patrons and new visitors looking for a premium smoke-free experience.
