Nebraska Lottery players will soon have a chance to vie for bigger prizes as the state joins the Lotto America game, a multi-state lottery venture spanning across 13 states in the United States.

Commencing May 19, Nebraska players can purchase tickets for Lotto America, a $1 lottery game boasting a rolling jackpot that kicks off at $2 million and escalates with each unclaimed draw.

“We are excited to add Lotto America to our product lineup,” said Brian Rockey, Nebraska Lottery Director. “Many players have asked us to offer Lotto America in the past, and the game fits in well with our existing draw games. As with all Nebraska Lottery games a portion of every ticket sold goes to support good causes across Nebraska.”

Lotto America involves selecting five white ball numbers from 1 to 52 and one Star Ball number from 1 to 10. To clinch the jackpot, players must match all six winning numbers, with a secondary prize of $20,000 available for matching all five white ball numbers. Additional cash prizes range from $1,000 to $2.

The odds of hitting the Lotto America jackpot stand at 1 in 25,989,600, with winners having the option to receive the jackpot as a 30-year annuity or a lump sum payment. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 9.63.

The game also offers a multiplier feature, the All-Star Bonus, which can amplify prize amounts except the jackpot by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times for an additional $1 per play.

Drawings for Lotto America occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday after 9:15 p.m. CT. Winning numbers will be accessible through the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com, the Nebraska Lottery mobile app, and the Nebraska Lottery Player’s Hotline.

The addition of Nebraska to the Lotto America consortium expands the game’s reach, with 13 lotteries currently participating, including those in Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
