Nevada Casinos Rake in $1.36 Billion in July

Industry

For the fifth month on a row, Nevada casinos have brought in over a billion dollars in a month. In July, they actually set another revenue record by generating $1.36 billion.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported the numbers, which were a rise of 80% over July of last year. The return of more entertainment, such as the Cirque du Soleil shows and concerts, and the opening of the new Resorts World Las Vegas certainly helped the numbers.

Although these numbers are encouraging, passing the previous all time record of $1.23 billion just set by Nevada casinos this past May, we must also remember that there were five weeks in the fiscal month of July instead of four.

However, it is also true that visits to Las Vegas is returning as well. In fact, McCarran Airport reported a return in travelers to near pre-pandemic levels for the month of July.
