Turning Stone Casino Resort in New York is set to introduce its newest nightlife venue, the NY Rec & Social Club, to open later this month, along with a rebranding and relocation of its sports betting lounge.

The venue, located in the former spot of the Lava Nightclub within the Exit 33 wing of the casino and scheduled to open its doors on December 18, is part of the Oneida Indian Nation’s expansion and rebranding efforts at the casino.

The new club “bridges the gap between sports book and lounge,” according to the tribe. The NY Rec & Social Club features 60 high-definition TVs and various games such as foosball, shuffleboard, darts, and billiards. It will also provide table betting games like blackjack and craps.

This new addition, catering to up to 200 guests, aims to offer game-day cuisine curated by Chef de Cuisine Dustin Tuthill. The venue is also set to feature signature cocktails served at a main bar, as per a news release from the Oneida Indian Nation.

Simultaneously, the Oneida Indian Nation is rebranding its sports betting lounges at Turning Stone, YBR Casino in Chittenango, and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport. These venues, previously affiliated with Nevada-based Caesars Sportsbook since 2019, will now operate under the rebranded TS Sports.

At Turning Stone, the sportsbook will transition to NY Rec & Social Club, relocating from its current position near the casino’s main entrance.

Despite the rebranding, the wagering options and gameplay at the sportsbooks will remain unchanged, confirmed Joel Barkin, Vice President of Communication for the Oneidas and Turning Stone Enterprises. While the transition means the end of access to Caesars’ rewards programs for players, TS Sports will introduce its own program.

“Caesars has been a valuable partner in our efforts to establish our sports books as the most exciting places for fans to watch the big game and place their wagers,” Ray Halbritter, the Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO, said. “The launch of TS Sports will help us continue this tradition as we further evolve these venues and the experience they offer.”

The NY Rec & Social Club marks another milestone in the Oneida’s transformation efforts for Turning Stone, forming part of a $370 million expansion plan announced earlier this year.

The project encompasses a new hotel, an expanded conference center, and additional dining and entertainment venues, marking the casino’s most substantial expansion since its inception 30 years ago.
