EGT Digital CEO Vladimir Dokov was named Leader of the Year at the SBC Awards 2026 during SBC Summit Lisbon, recognizing his leadership as the company continues to expand its international presence. In this post-show interview with Yogonet, Dokov reflects on the recognition, the industry’s evolving priorities, and the importance of delivering technology that provides measurable business value as operators navigate increasingly competitive and regulated markets.
Dokov also discusses EGT Digital’s approach to international expansion amid regulatory uncertainty, including recent developments in Brazil, and outlines the next stage of growth for its broader iGaming ecosystem. From casino content and Sportsbook to aggregation, CRM, payments and the continued development of its X-Nave platform, he explains how flexibility, reliability and investment in technology will shape the company’s strategy.
You’ve just returned from SBC Summit Lisbon, where you were named Leader of the Year at the SBC Awards 2026. What does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect the journey EGT Digital has been on in recent years?
Receiving the Leader of the Year award is a great honour, and I see it as recognition of the direction EGT Digital has taken and the progress we have made in recent years. For me, leadership is about having a clear vision, making the right strategic decisions, and maintaining the determination to see them through.
This recognition is also a motivation to keep moving forward. We have ambitious plans for EGT Digital, and my focus remains on strengthening our international position and ensuring that the company continues to develop with a clear long-term direction.
SBC Summit brought together an industry navigating rapid technological, competitive, and regulatory change. From the conversations you had in Lisbon, what stood out to you about where the market is heading, and how is that shaping EGT Digital’s priorities?
The discussions in Lisbon reflected how much more demanding the industry has become. Operators have more technology, content and suppliers to choose from than ever before, and their focus is increasingly on solutions that deliver real business value rather than simply expanding their portfolios.
Flexibility, reliability and speed of delivery are becoming increasingly important, particularly as operators navigate different regulatory requirements and player expectations across markets.
This is closely aligned with our priorities at EGT Digital. We continue to strengthen our individual products and their integration within the wider ecosystem, giving operators the freedom to choose the setup that best suits their business. Equally important is our ability to deliver consistently, respond quickly to changing requirements, and stand behind our commitments.
EGT Digital continues to expand across regulated markets, while developments such as those in Brazil show how quickly the regulatory landscape can change. How do you balance the opportunities of international expansion with the need to build a sustainable long-term presence in each market?
For us, international expansion has never been simply about entering as many markets as possible. We focus on regulated jurisdictions with strong long-term potential, considering regulatory stability, market dynamics, local player preferences, and opportunities for our products.
Developments in Brazil demonstrate why regulatory predictability is so important. Operators and suppliers make substantial investments in regulated markets, from licences and technology to compliance and local partnerships. They need a framework that allows them to plan beyond the short term. Sudden regulatory changes can undermine that confidence and affect the entire industry.
Our approach to international expansion is combining long-term commitment with the flexibility to adapt to local requirements. We want to establish sustainable positions in markets where we can deliver genuine value, rather than pursue expansion for its own sake.
EGT Digital now offers a much broader ecosystem spanning casino content, Sportsbook, aggregation, CRM, and payments, while operators increasingly want the flexibility to choose the technology setup that works for them. How do you see that ecosystem evolving, and what is the next stage of growth for EGT Digital?
EGT Digital has built a strong foundation across several areas of iGaming, and our focus now is on accelerating development across the entire portfolio.
We will continue investing in new game series and standalone titles, alongside features and tools that simplify operators’ day-to-day work and help them create engaging, entertaining and responsible gaming experiences. In parallel, we will further develop our Sportsbook, while AI, data analytics and platform scalability will play an increasingly important role in the evolution of X-Nave.
For me, the next stage is about maintaining this momentum while ensuring that our products and technology evolve together. Our priority is to translate these developments into an even stronger competitive position in the global iGaming market.
