PrizePicks launches digital card packs across US with collectibles valued at up to $8 million

PrizePicks has announced the launch of PrizePicks Packs, a digital collectibles product inspired by trading card pack openings.

The company said that the new product debuts with the highest-valued inventory in the entire industry, headlined by the most expensive single player basketball card on record.

At launch, PrizePicks will feature several well-known, high-value cards available in any Pack tier, exclusively on PrizePicks Packs:

  • 2025/26 Topps Chrome Update Cooper Flagg Rookie NBA Debut Patch Auto 1/1 PSA 10 (Estimated Value: $8,040,000; most expensive basketball card featuring a single player and the most expensive debut patch on record)
  • 1998 Pokémon Japanese CoroCoro Comic Promo Holo Illustrator Pikachu CGC MINT 9 (Estimated Value: $2,806,271; one of less than 50 in existence and illustrated by Atsuko Nishida, the original designer of Pikachu)
  • 2025/26 Topps Chrome Update Dylan Harper Rookie NBA Debut Patch Auto 1/1 PSA 9 (Estimated Value: $2,880,000; highest price ever paid for a Harper card and features game worn patch from debut game)
  • 2025/26 Topps Chrome Update Kon Knueppel Rookie NBA Debut Patch Auto 1/1 PSA 10 (Estimated Value $2,340,000; highest price ever paid for a Knueppel card and features game worn patch from debut game)

“Packs is exactly what PrizePicks is about: building engaging experiences our customers want, in a responsible way. We’re huge sports fans, and many of us collect cards. Purchasing physical packs isn’t the easiest process, so we built a seamless way to collect based on customer feedback,” said Mike Ybarra, CEO of PrizePicks.

“Packs gives both casual fans and collectors direct access to rare, premium sports and Pokémon cards that were previously out of reach because of price tags and auction restrictions. We always want to push the sports entertainment experience forward, and that is exactly what we are doing with the launch of Packs.”

PrizePicks Packs merges virtual pack openings with real-world asset ownership. Collectors can rip digital packs, instantly sell back pulled cards for 100% fair market value, or have real physical collectibles shipped straight to their doorstep.

Available in all 50 states and D.C., PrizePicks Packs features basketball, football, and Pokémon categories with nine pricing tiers ranging from $1 to $2,500. Each pack tier gives customers transparency about the likelihood of pulling high-value cards. The higher the pack tier, the more likely a customer is to pull a higher-value card.

“Customer protection is non-negotiable at PrizePicks; it’s at the core of everything we do,” said Jason Barclay, Chief Legal Officer and Head of Public Policy at PrizePicks. “We are committed to Responsible Use — not by checking boxes, but by designing protections into every aspect of how our customers engage with our products, including PrizePicks Packs. Being recognized as the industry’s leader, we are dedicated to doing what is right from day one.”
