SBC Events has announced the dates for the next edition of the SBC Summit North America, scheduled to take place at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey from May 8-9, 2024. The event is expected to bring together approximately 5,000 gambling industry professionals, including senior decision-makers, to explore learning, networking and business opportunities.

The event will also feature a pre-conference in New York on May 7, where the Player Protection Symposium and Compliance & Leadership conferences will be held, as well as the newly established Earnings+More: Capital Markets Forum, in collaboration with +More Media

The exhibition area will highlight more than 75 companies, covering gaming suppliers, affiliates, operators and payment providers. Among them are gaming providers such as White Hat Gaming and Relax Gaming, as well as affiliates such as Better Collective, MediaTroopers, Spotlight Sports Group and KeyAffiliates.

Leading payment providers such as Trustly, PayNearMe, TransUnion, PXP Financial and PayBrokers, operators such as Betsson, risk management platforms such as Kinectify, content and real-time data providers such as SportsDataIO and hosting providers such as Internet Vikings will further enhance the wide range of offerings. These exhibitors will present recent innovations and developments in the sector.

The conference will feature more than 300 speakers spread across five different stages, addressing a variety of topics. Sessions cover areas such as Leaders, Sports Betting, iGaming, Affiliates & Marketing, Payments & Tech, and Compliance & Regulation.

The conference will delve into a number of crucial topics that are shaping the industry, highlighting their intersection with technological advances, regulatory considerations and the critical balance between innovation and accountability.

These topics include the recent trend of revising existing sports betting laws rather than introducing new ones, the strategic considerations for second-placed players within the saturated industry, the influential role of social media personalities and the challenge of interpreting large volumes of data to gain insights into customer behavior across multiple channels.

In addition, discussions will focus on the role of artificial intelligence in promoting responsible gaming practices, the continued expansion of iGaming into new states, the evolving dynamics of sports integrity and the regulatory deliberations underway in regions such as California and Canada.

Some of the speakers who will be on stage include Kim Barker Lee (EVP & Chief Legal Officer, Bally’s Corporation), David Denenberg (SVP, Global Media Distribution & Business Affairs, NBA), Matthew Sunderland (SVP of iGaming, Caesars Digital), Dave Rivers (SVP Marketing, PointsBet Canada), Sarah Brennan (Senior Director-Compliance, BetMGM), Justin Barrett (Treasurer, Eastern Shawnee Tribe), Noam Klivitzky (VP US Marketing, 888 Holdings), Jon Steinbrecher (Commissioner, Mid-American Conference), Michael Golub (Deputy Attorney General, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement), Catherine Meade (VP Community, Sustainability & Social Responsibility, OLG), Jacob Coin (Director of Public Affairs, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians) and more.

The event will also include the SBC Awards North America ceremony, and the annual SBC First Pitch competition, which will offer a platform for five startups from the sector to present their ideas to a panel of judges specializing in investment and innovation.

An addition to this year’s attractions will be the Tribal Symposium – a series of conference panels dedicated to exploring the intricate landscape of tribal gaming. One session will focus on regulatory hurdles in California and another will offer advice on how to effectively identify and address signs of human trafficking in land-based casinos.

Networking opportunities will be offered through events such as Pre-Registration & Networking Drinks at Slate NYC on May 7. The expo will also feature more relaxed settings such as the Official Networking Party and Sports Betting Hall of Fame on May 8, as well as the Official Closing Party on May 9.
