The Windsor Convention & Expo Center in Rio de Janeiro will host the inaugural edition of SBC Summit Rio from March 5-7, bringing together more than 3,000 industry professionals. It will be the first event of the sector to be held in Brazil since online gaming regulation was approved in December 2023.
After the approval of the law by Lula Da Silva’s government, the Brazilian market has captured the attention of the entire gaming sector. The debut of the SBC Summit in Brazil will be attended by operators, affiliates, suppliers, and regulators’ representatives, as well as media and key sports stakeholders.

In total, more than 100 industry experts will participate in the conference agenda, which will address key topics related to the Brazilian market. Topics ranging from how global operators can successfully enter the Brazilian market, optimal methods to successfully establish partnerships with operators and media, as well as state and federal sports betting licenses will be addressed throughout the presentations. The regulatory landscape in Brazil and its constant evolution will also be explored.
The first day of conferences will be March 6 and will feature a presentation by Ze Roberto, a historic football player of teams including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and the Brazilian national team. In his talk “High-Performance Strategy,” the soccer legend will share his knowledge on the strategies used to achieve the highest level of performance, leading and offering strategic tools for teams and collaborators to reach the highest level of performance.
The second day of conferences will begin with a keynote featuring Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, president of the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery (LOTERJ), and Iuri Castro, representative of the Brazilian state financial services provider CAIXA. This will be followed by the “Ask Me Anything – Lottery Edition” keynote address, moderated by Ludovico Calvi, honorary president of United Lotteries for Integrity in Sport (ULIS), with an audience-driven interactive format, providing the platform for the live audience to submit their questions about the Brazilian market.
