SBC Summit will examine how financial technology is reshaping player payments, compliance and responsible gambling through a dedicated Fintech conference track at its 2026 event, bringing together operators, payment providers and technology specialists to discuss the sector’s evolving payment infrastructure.
The Fintech track will take place on Sept. 29 as part of the Payment Expert Summit stage and will be followed by dedicated tracks on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Compliance on Sept. 30 and Crypto and Blockchain on Oct. 1.
“Fintech is now influencing almost every stage of the player journey, from how players are onboarded and verified to how operators manage compliance, prevent fraud and support responsible gambling,” SBC Founder and Chief Executive Officer Rasmus Sojmark said.
“As these technologies continue to evolve, operators have an opportunity to deliver experiences that are faster, more seamless and more secure, while strengthening compliance and player protection,” he added.
The event will open with a panel on payment infrastructure, “From Click to Cashout: Building Reliable Payment Infrastructure”, where executives Sean Spiteri (Head of Payments, Eaton Gate Gaming), Ran Cohen (Co-founder & CEO, BridgerPay), Mariola de la Piedra (CMO, Grupo GELSA), and Kyle Wiltshire (CEO, TESTA) will discuss how financial technology is helping operators streamline deposits and withdrawals, improve transaction performance and reduce payment friction.
The next session, Solving Payments at Scale in Regulated Markets, will focus on scaling payment systems across regulated markets, with speakers Rudy Attieh (Director of Product, PGWay), Mark Watts (Executive Director of iGaming, Aircash), Olga Gunchenkova (Director of Payments, Flutter International), and Andrea McGeachin (Group CEO, Neosurf) discussing how operators can deliver consistent payment experiences while complying with differing local regulatory requirements.
Digital identity and customer verification will also feature prominently, with the Beyond ID Checks: The New Role of Identity in Gaming panel examining how upcoming European Union anti-money laundering reforms are expected to reshape identity verification requirements while allowing operators to maintain efficient customer onboarding. The panel will bring together Vasilije Lekovic (Vice President of Gaming, Trustly), Antony Jordan (Head of Payments & KYC, Oddset) and Mário Cardoso (Fraud & Risk Manager, Solverde.pt).
The conference will conclude with Data-Powered Responsible Gambling: Leveraging Fintech Insights, a discussion on the use of financial data to support responsible gambling, with industry executives exploring how payment-related insights can help identify harmful gambling behaviour earlier and strengthen player protection measures. Experts Nataly Shpak (CFO, 13Aff), Piotr Lisak (COO, Q Digital Assets) and Ivan Ochoa (Board Member, Grupo GELSA) will participate.
Other sessions during the day will examine the use of artificial intelligence in financial operations and approaches to building modular payment orchestration systems.
Beyond the conference programme, Attendees will be able to participate in pre-arranged business meetings through the Smart Connect initiative and join a guided Fintech Show Floor Tour highlighting payment and financial technology exhibitors.
SBC Summit will take place from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, 2026, at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, where the organiser expects about 40,000 industry professionals to attend.
Access to SBC Summit’s conference is included with Conference, Business, and VIP Passes.
