Seneca Resorts & Casinos is investing $8.9 million in a new sports lounge at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in New York, with construction underway and completion targeted for May 2027.
The Seneca Sports Lounge will occupy the resort’s west concourse, near the Bear’s Den Showroom, in the space formerly used by Blues Burger Bar and the 8 Clans gift shop.
The new venue will feature a bar with seating for up to 21 people, a sportsbook lounge with club chairs and a walk-up bar, a sportsbook betting counter, betting kiosks, and a restaurant area with 115 seats. It will also have a 98-foot video wall and additional video displays throughout the space.

The design will incorporate sports memorabilia display cases, team logos burned into dining table tops, and sports-themed ceiling, column, and seat coverings. Lacrosse-inspired elements will also pay tribute to the Haudenosaunee’s role in introducing the Creator’s Game to the world, according to a press release.
“We are building on the energy and excitement that Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is known for and making it even bigger and bolder,” said Kevin Nephew, Seneca Resorts & Casinos President & CEO. “We all know what game-day energy feels like. Our new Seneca Sports Lounge will bring that energy every day, making it clear to guests that something exciting is happening in every corner of the resort.”
The project is part of a broader investment in the company’s resort properties.
At Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, the company is undertaking a $47 million renovation of 594 hotel rooms and suites across 22 floors of its 26-story hotel tower. The work will be carried out in three-floor phases, with completion expected in December 2027.

Seneca Resorts & Casinos is also upgrading Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino. A $2.7 million renovation of Seneca Cafe was completed earlier this year, while a $5.8 million upgrade to the Thunder Mountain Buffet is expected to be completed in November.
“This new Seneca Sports Lounge will be a sports fan’s paradise,” said Steve McCarthy, VP of Operations, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. “It will be more than a great place to watch a game. It will be a destination exploding with stadium-level excitement and camaraderie, delicious food, great drinks, and can’t-miss moments.”
“From our hotels and gaming floors to our restaurants and amenities, we are reimagining and elevating the guest experience at all three of our properties,” added Nephew. “We’re beyond excited for what this new chapter holds.”
