iGaming technology provider SOFTSWISS will host an expert panel at SBC Summit Lisbon on Sept. 29 to examine how iGaming trends have evolved over the past five years and what operators should focus on next.
The session, titled “2027 SOFTSWISS iGaming Trends Report | Five Years of iGaming: Which Trends Endured, Which Faded, and What Comes Next,” will take place from 16:10 to 16:50 at Feira Internacional de Lisboa & MEO Arena.
The discussion will draw on five editions of SOFTSWISS’ iGaming Trends Report, examining trends that have endured or faded and how market shifts have affected operator priorities.
Wearable betting, NFTs and the metaverse were among the industry’s most discussed trends five years ago. Today, AI, regulation, trust, localisation, and emerging markets are shaping operator strategies.
Panelists will include Serhii Avramchuk, Principal Account Industry Manager at Amazon Web Services; Denis Romanovskiy, Chief AI Officer at SOFTSWISS; Kate Puteiko, CMO at BGaming; and Aggrey Sayi, CEO of Maybets.
Elliott Gotkine, an Emmy-winning journalist and former CNN and Bloomberg correspondent, will moderate.
“Five years is a long time in iGaming. Some trends that once attracted a lot of attention have disappeared, while others have become part of how operators run their businesses. AI is a good example: the conversation has moved from what the technology might do to where it can bring practical value today,” Denis Romanovskiy, Chief AI Officer at SOFTSWISS said.
“This panel is a chance to look back at those shifts and, more importantly, discuss what operators should be watching as they plan for 2027,” he said.
The fifth edition of the SOFTSWISS iGaming Trends Report will also be revealed on Sept. 29 at SBC Summit. Operators and industry professionals can set a notification here to receive an alert when the report is available to download.
