Stake has signed UFC women’s flyweight contender Tracy Cortez as its newest global ambassador, adding another athlete to its portfolio of mixed martial arts partnerships.
The online casino and sportsbook said Cortez will join its roster of UFC ambassadors starting this month. The agreement adds the No. 8-ranked women’s flyweight to Stake’s list of athletes as the company strengthens its involvement within the UFC.
Cortez holds a 12-3 professional record. She entered the UFC after competing on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019 and later recorded an 11-fight winning streak. She is pursuing her first UFC world title.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Cortez began training in mixed martial arts at age 14 after the death of her brother, Jose. Her career has since taken her into the UFC’s women’s flyweight division.
“Partnering with Stake feels like the perfect fit for this chapter of my career,” said Cortez. “This is a brand at the cutting edge of sports and entertainment, and they value the same grit and authenticity that I bring to every fight.
“I’m ready to engage with my supporters in a whole new way and take this journey to the next level together,” Cortez added.
Stake already works with several UFC competitors through ambassador agreements, including Alex Pereira, Max Holloway, Merab Dvalishvili, Caio Borralho and Alexandre Pantoja.
“Tracy Cortez is a phenomenal athlete, who we’re really excited to be partnering with in this new ambassadorial role,” said Akhil Sarin, Chief Marketing Officer at Stake. “She has proven herself to be a real contender in the UFC flyweight division already, and as she comes into her prime, Stake is proud to support her journey.”
“Tracy’s personality and competitive spirit are something which aligns with our values at Stake – she’s fun, the fans love her, and we’re looking forward to bringing a valuable partnership to MMA fans,” Sarin added.
Stake said the agreement with Cortez forms part of its ongoing investment in sports sponsorships and athlete partnerships. The company continues to pursue collaborations across mixed martial arts, football and entertainment while adding to its presence in the UFC through ambassador agreements.
