Canadian online sportsbook ToonieBet has entered into an exclusive partnership with the Ottawa REDBLACKS by taking on the role of the Canadian Football League club’s official sportsbook partner.
The agreement builds on a series of integrations ToonieBet has made with Canadian football over the past year and adds another team-level partnership to the operator’s presence in the league.
The partnership places ToonieBet’s logo on all three REDBLACKS player jerseys. It also covers activations at TD Place, placement on television broadcasts and LED signage throughout the venue, and integration across the team’s social media channels.
ToonieBet will additionally serve as the official sponsor of the Sideline Club, the field-level seating section closest to the playing surface at TD Place.
“Partnering with an iconic franchise like the Ottawa REDBLACKS marks an exciting milestone as we continue to expand ToonieBet’s footprint in Canada,” said Daniel Madmon, Head of ToonieBet Canada. “We look forward to wearing the team colours on the field, hosting unforgettable game day experiences, and offering Ottawa fans a fun, innovative platform to engage with the sport they love.”
Outside TD Place, ToonieBet and the REDBLACKS will hold three pregame street parties on Exhibition Way during the season. The events, produced with RNation, will feature a live DJ, games and giveaways for fans ahead of kickoff.
The REDBLACKS won the Grey Cup in 2016 and are counted among the CFL’s more recognized franchises, with a fan base built across the Ottawa region since the club joined the league.
“We are thrilled to welcome ToonieBet into the REDBLACKS family as a sportsbook partner,” said Matthew Bennett, Vice President, Corporate Partnerships of the Ottawa REDBLACKS. “RNation is known for bringing unmatched energy to TD Place, and this partnership is all about taking that fan experience to the next level.
“From the high-stakes atmosphere of the new ToonieBet Sideline Club to the vibrant pregame street parties, we are excited to collaborate on unique activations that celebrate our fans and the great tradition of Canadian football,” Bennett added.
The REDBLACKS will host a home game at TD Place on Sunday, August 30, which will include fan experiences tied to the ToonieBet partnership.
