Uplatform launches Zoom In market reports covering Argentina, Turkey and Malaysia

Argentina, Turkey and Malaysia are the focus of the first three reports in Uplatform’s new Zoom In series, which examines the commercial and legal considerations operators may face when assessing opportunities in individual iGaming markets.

The three jurisdictions present markedly different operating environments. Argentina regulates online gambling at the provincial and city level and does not have a single national licensing route. Turkey and Malaysia impose substantially more restrictive conditions, including legal and enforcement risks associated with online casino activity. The reports consider commercial potential alongside legal feasibility.

Each ebook uses a common framework covering a market overview, PESTL analysis, opportunities and challenges, a player portrait, acquisition, engagement, retention, and a Market Readiness Assessment Framework. Using the same structure across the three studies is intended to allow comparisons while accounting for local market conditions.

The readiness assessment examines localization, payments and finance, regulatory and compliance requirements, marketing and acquisition, product and operations, and trust and retention. It is designed to help teams identify areas of strength, potential gaps, and issues requiring further legal, financial, technical, or commercial assessment before resources are committed.

The reports draw on multiple internal research studies, market data, local analysis, and player surveys involving more than 400 respondents. They examine factors including regulation and licensing, payment habits, player behavior, product preferences, acquisition channels, retention, and operational requirements that can influence market preparation and performance.

Local differences in payment preferences, digital behavior, popular sports and casino products, trust, and regulatory restrictions are also assessed because of their potential impact on product configuration, marketing, customer acquisition, and retention.

The series is based on the premise that market size alone does not indicate how players make payments, which products they prefer, how they discover operators, what contributes to trust, or which regulatory and operational constraints may affect a business.

“We created these guides to help operators turn market interest into better decisions before they commit time and budget. A large audience can be exciting, but the legal route, payment stack, product, support, acquisition model, and retention plan still have to work together in the same market,” said Maria, Head of Marketing at Uplatform.

The first three ebooks are available through the Zoom In series website. Additional country reports are planned for the series. Uplatform said the reports are intended for commercial planning. Because market conditions and rules can change, they are not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific legal, regulatory, tax, or compliance advice.
