For a third consecutive year, California’s Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel has retained the AAA Five Diamond designation. The California property remains the only AAA Five Diamond casino resort in the U.S.
AAA grants the rating to fewer than 1% of the nearly 23,000 hotels it inspects. Its Five Diamond tier recognizes a select group of properties that meet the organization’s top hospitality standards for accommodations, amenities, and service.
Yaamava’ also recently ranked No. 2 among casino hotels nationwide in AAA’s 2026 Diamond Top 10 list, an annual ranking of the highest-rated hotels in each category.
AAA inspectors determine the list through in-person evaluations that take place throughout the year, and they assess each property against the organization’s Diamond standards.
Hotels must pass unannounced evaluations by AAA inspectors in order to earn the Five Diamond designation and keep it. During these visits, inspectors review every aspect of the guest experience.
Kenji Hall, General Manager of Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel, attributed the result to the tribal nation that stewards the enterprise and to its team members.
“Inspired by the enduring commitment the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation has demonstrated in stewarding this enterprise, this recognition reflects the dedication and passion our team members have brought to every guest interaction over the past 40 years,” Hall said.
“Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation has long invested in creating a world-class destination for our guests, and maintaining our AAA Five Diamond status for a third consecutive year reflects that commitment to excellence, exceptional hospitality and unforgettable experiences,” he added.
The redesignation is another milestone for the resort, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in July.
