Swedish gaming operator AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) is undergoing a major leadership change, with the board of directors announcing the addition of a new CEO. The one up to the task is Anna Romboli, a former member of Svenska Spel’s team and a long-time participant in the gambling industry.
Romboli to Replace Forsberg as CEO of ATG
As mentioned, Romboli joins ATG from Svenska Spel, where she was vice president of the Svenska Spel Tur lottery division. During her time with Svenska Spel, she was responsible for overseeing some of Sweden’s most well-known gaming brands, such as Triss, Lotto and Keno. Her earlier career includes senior positions at NetEnt, where she worked as a game developer.
According to the announcement, Romboli will step into the office in December 2026, allowing the company to plan a smooth transition of power. As the biggest gaming company in the Swedish market, ATG recognizes the importance of an orderly transition that will ensure that it continues to provide uninterrupted backing to the local horseracing sector.
As CEO, Romboli will replace the current CEO of ATG, Jörgen Forsberg. The latter will remain in position until December, when Romboli officially takes office.
