BGaming has secured two positions among the 10 most widely distributed football-themed casino games by brand reach during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making it the only provider with multiple titles in the ranking. The results come from a joint analysis by Blask and BGaming examining football-related casino content across international markets during the tournament.
Two Titles, Different Game Formats
Penalty Duel with Júlio Césarranked seventh after appearing across 262 brands. Lucky Pack 2026 Cup took tenth place, with distribution across 212 brands. The two games use different approaches to football-themed casino content.
Penalty Duel with Júlio César is an instant-win title created with former Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César. Lucky Pack 2026 Cup follows the traditional slot format.
Penalty Duel also recorded significant movement following its exclusive launch on Betano. The game reached the operator’s top five casino lobby positions and rose from 135th to seventh in its category. BGaming’s internal figures showed gross gaming revenue for the title increasing by 163% during the World Cup, while the number of bets grew by 150%.
Julia Alekseeva, CPO at BGaming, said the two releases reached different parts of the market.
“Penalty Duel with Júlio César helped us attract the attention of leading Brazilian operators, while Lucky Pack 2026 Cup allowed us to reach a different audience through a classic slot format. Having both titles in the global top 10 confirms the potential of using different mechanics in sports-themed content.
The global top 10 included five slots, three instant-win games, one crash title and one live casino game, highlighting the diversity of formats competing for player attention around major football events.”
World Cup Content Gains Market Attention
The wider report examined how football-themed casino games performedacross the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, the UK, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Sweden. It tracked the number of brands and casino lobbies carrying leading football-themed titles, alongside engagement and commercial indicators.
The findings indicate that major football tournaments can increase activity around football-focused casino content. The report also considers whether operators should maintain dedicated lobby exposure after a tournament and examines how suppliers assess football releases and collaborations with well-known sports figures.
Its global ranking covered slots, instant-win games, crash titles, live casino and casual formats. The range of formats suggests that football-themed content extends beyond conventional slot releases during major sporting competitions.
For BGaming, the two ranked titles provided separate routes into the football gaming market. Penalty Duel with Júlio César gained visibility through an instant-win format and its association with a former Brazil international, while Lucky Pack 2026 Cup reached players through a conventional slot structure.
The report also includes BGaming’s internal measurements of active-player activity, gross gaming revenue and bet-count changes associated with the World Cup. These figures place the performance of Penalty Duel with Júlio César within the broader tournament period, when football-related casino content experienced increased player activity.
