A Boston man who has won $4 million from the lottery has vowed to reciprocate his good fortune by donating part of it.
The man from Brighton, Wei Xiao Zhong, posed for the customary photo-op with the outsized winning check and shared a few comments about how he felt about his win.
Zhong was playing the $4,000,000 Cash King Doubler scratch ticket game, a popular choice amongst players, and one that has proven the right one for himself.
As to how he collected his money, Zhong has opted for the $2.6-million one-off payment instead of the annuity option, which would have secured a larger share of the prize.
He bought his winning ticket at Moda & Tobacco located at 550 Arsenal St in Unit #36 in Watertown, with the store itself scooping a $10,000 bonus from selling the winning ticket.
The $4,000,000 Cash King Doubler game was originally released in April 2025, and there are still two planned top prizes before the game is withdrawn. The game costs $10 to play per ticket.
No further information was released about Zhong himself.
In the meantime, another man won a $1,000,000 prize from the $4,000,000 Bonus Bucks scratch ticket game just about the same time.
The winner also opted for the one-off payment, amounting to $650,000, money that he is going to use to help his mother retire.
