The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) in Brazil announced the suspension of fourteen licensed gambling establishments due to their failure to fulfill their reporting obligations and comply with responsible gambling regulations.
After the start of sanction procedures in August 2025, the SPA executed seven preventive measures meant to protect its citizens as long as the investigation continues.
Under the circumstances, the affected operators are obliged to stop any gambling operations, however, they will still have the opportunity to take their funds from their accounts but they will not be able to make any financial activities.
Should the operators disobey the orders imposed by the SPA, they risk facing fine at a cost of BRL 200,000 every day.
Out of the seven precautionary measures, five were connected to the issues with dealing with information via Sigap, the gambling management system of Brazil that gives the SPA the opportunity to oversee betting volumes, revenues and compliance with regulations in real time.
As for the remaining two measures, they are connected to the failures to set up the systems for monitoring, controlling and assessing players according to the standards of Brazil responsible gambling requirements.
Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas imposed two precautionary suspensions on three sites over its failure to comply with responsible gambling regulations. The suspended brands of the company are pixbet.bet.br, ganhei.bet.br, and betdasorte.bet.br. Zeroumbet Digital Platform, which runs the websites zeroum.bet.br, sportvip.bet.br, and energia.bet.br is sanctioned for not submitting information to the regulator for SPA control.
Enseada Serviços e Tecnologia was given the order to cease the activities of the site kbet.bet.br as it did not submit the requested and required documentation to the regulatory agency. Select Operations, which is responsible for mma.bet.br, betvip.bet.br, and papigames.bet.br failed to submit the information required by the regulator.
Nexus International, responsible for megaposta.bet.br, also does not submit the documents through Sigap needed for the announcement of its regulated activities. RR Participações e Intermediações de Negócios, which runs multibet.bet.br, rico.bet.br, and brx.bet.br, did not provide the necessary documentation to check its ownership structure. The missing data affected the ability of SPA to check various compliance issues.
The latest action highlights the SPA’s increasingly active oversight of Brazil’s regulated betting market, particularly its focus on real-time reporting and responsible gambling controls.
