Supreme Court Justice from Brazil, Alexandre de Moraes, has demanded Senator Flávio Bolsonaro to surrender his foreign travel documents and has issued him a ban from communicating with the lawyer and businessman, Willer Tomaz.
As reported by CNN Brasil, the confidential ruling asks for Flávio’s Brazilian passport to be annulled. Additionally, he has to return all of the passports that he possesses from different countries within the next 24 hours.
Flávio was called for by the Federal Police on Monday to follow the law and to give his travel documents because he lost Brazil’s 2026 elections.
Flávio Bolsonaro and Tomaz both are investigated in the connection with the same case in the Supreme Federal Court regarding money laundering and currency evasion. The investigation seeks to establish a partnership between Flávio and Tomaz.
The Federal Police of the Brazil started the investigations to examine whether Flávio acted with Tomaz in a scheme to hide the origin of funds through betting houses. The report was announced by the Folha de S.Paulo on October 19. Bolsonaro reject all the reports mentioning that he and Tomaz only had been friends and didn’t work together. Flávio described the ban as “an aggression against legal certainty”.
Bolsonaro denied all the reports by the police and said that he has no connection with the news. He never held an account with the lawyer and his companies.
The investigation is not completed yet and the allegations have not been established as proven wrongdoing.
