The NFL has reportedly welcomed Fanatics as an official sportsbook after its agreements with multiple partners expired earlier this year. Per the agreement, Fanatics will be allowed to brandish official NFL imagery, including the league’s logo.
Fanatics Becomes the League’s First Operator Partner for the New Season
While the deal has yet to be officially announced via Fanatics or the NFL’s channels, reports claim that the agreement will cement Fanatics as the newest official NFL sportsbook. This means that Fanatics has put forward an undisclosed sum for the right to attach The Shield of the NFL next to its own logo.
For reference, the NFL went without an official sportsbook partner for almost five months after its previous arrangements expired. For context, the league used to boast agreements with DraftKings, Caesars, and FanDuel. While Caesars had long been rumored to be considering not renewing the partnership, reports stated that negotiations with DraftKings and FanDuel continued. This means that a potential renewal with one of these operators could be on the table.
Since a new tie-up with a different company has not been announced yet, Fanatics could become the league’s exclusive partner. This could put the company in a favorable position to challenge the hegemony of market leaders, such as FanDuel and DraftKings.
In any case, experts expect the partnership to be officially confirmed shortly before the start of the regular NFL season. For reference, the action is expected to kick off on September 9 with a game between the New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks.
Fanatics Remains Committed to Supporting the Sports Sector
Speaking of Fanatics and sports, the operator recently announced that it will begin monitoring abusive and threatening online behavior from the 2026 NFL season. This new program further expresses Fanatics’ commitment to supporting the sports sector and protecting it from crime, harassment, and fraud.
In other news, Anthony D’Angelo, head of responsible gaming at Fanatics Betting and Gaming, just slammed Polymarket and Kalshi as platforms that fail to provide their customers with sufficient levels of protection.
While D’Angelo acknowledged that the sports betting sector can also cause harm, he argued that the established regulatory frameworks and relationship between operators and regulators continue to prevent a lot of damage.
