Online gaming and betting leader Flutter Entertainment has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer. As Peter Jackson prepares to step down from the role next month, Dan Taylor has been named as his successor.
Taylor to Step into the Office in October
According to the announcement, Jackson will step down from the CEO role on September 30, 2026. On the following day, Taylor will officially assume the position of group chief executive officer.
Flutter noted that Jackson will also leave the company’s board of directors, but will continue to serve as an advisor to the business through the end of the year to ensure a seamless transition. In the meantime, Taylor will join the board as a new member.
Flutter noted that the appointee is currently serving as CEO of Flutter’s International division. The segment generated over $9 billion in revenue and more than $2.2 billion in adjusted EBITDA in 2025, which serves as a testament to Taylor’s leadership skills. Dan has also served as president of Flutter since May 2026, and has been instrumental in the company’s sportsbook improvement plan and commercial endeavors.
This leadership change makes Flutter the latest company in the gaming space to introduce major C-suite changes. A few days ago, Continent 8 and Scientific Games also announced changes at the CEO level.
Taylor Is Excited to Lead Flutter at Such an Important Time
John Bryant, Flutter’s board chair, commented on the matter, saying that the board is pleased to welcome Taylor as Flutter’s new group CEO. Bryant praised the appointee’s track record of delivering results and said that he trusts him to lead the business.
Dan’s breadth of experience and responsibilities across the Group, combined with his deep understanding of the industry, give us every confidence that he is the right person to lead Flutter into its next phase of growth.

Bryant also thanked Jackson for his contributions and wished him all the best.
Taylor commented on his own appointment, saying that he is delighted to take on this new role at such an important time for the company. He said that his goal would be generating value for the company’s team, customers, and shareholders, while keeping Flutter’s growth going.
The opportunities ahead are significant – both those we see in the market today and those we will create ourselves in the future. I look forward to leading the business as we continue to innovate, grow and build on the strengths that make Flutter unique.
Dan Taylor, group CEO appointee, Flutter Entertainment
Last but not least, Peter Jackson commented on his time at the head of Flutter, saying that it has been a privilege to lead the company. He called Flutter a “fantastic business” and said that he trusts Talor to lead it in the future.
Having worked closely with Dan for many years, I have seen first-hand his ability to grow businesses, build strong teams and deliver exceptional results. I leave with great confidence in Dan, the leadership team and the Company’s future.
