A lucky player in Georgia has won a $3 million prize from one of the lottery’s scratch-off games. This is the latest big win to happen in the state and follows a few others that happened earlier this month.
100X The Money Awarded a $3M Prize
According to the announcement, the winner won the mouth-watering sum from a 100X The Money scratch-off ticket. While not much is known about the actual winner, the Georgia Lottery did confirm that he was a Liberty County resident.
As it turns out, the player visited the lottery HQ on September 15. However, the player preferred to remain anonymous and there is no information about whether they picked the annuity option for the full $3 million, or the one-time lump sum payment alternative.
According to the Georgia Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at EZ Trip, 908 Olmstead Drive, Hinesville.
Players in Georgia Have Been Winning Big
The Liberty County player isn’t the only big winner to be announced this month. On September 1, the Georgia Lottery confirmed that another player had won a $3 million sum, this time from the Grant scratch-off game.
The winning ticket was purchased at Marathon Food Mart, 5700 Warm Springs Road in Columbus, with the winner claiming their winnings on the day before the announcement. After selecting the one-time lump sum payment, the player returned home $1,546,986 richer.
On September 2, the Georgia Lottery also announced that a player in Warner Robins had won $1 million from the VIP Platinum scratcher. That winner purchased their winning ticket at Friends and Family, 6001 Watson Blvd. in Byron, and visited the lottery HQ to redeem it on September 1.
Players in Georgia have been winning big from Powerball, too. The Powerball drawing that took place on September 14, for example, saw a local player match all five white numbers to secure a $1 million Match 5 payout. This came only a few weeks after a similar windfall happened again.
