Great.com Lists September’s Top Studios by Playtime

Top-10-longest-played-providers-in-SeptemberWhich casino game providers keep players playing after the first spin? Great.com has approached that question through its September demo data, ranking ten studios by average session duration. ELK Studios secured the top spot, followed by Inspired Gaming Group and Pragmatic Play.

The ranking offers a different perspective on game engagement because it measures time spent in demos rather than how frequently users launch titles. Great.com lets players try slot games for free, without deposits or cash prizes, giving the platform a way to observe how long visitors choose to continue playing.

The full September ranking places ELK Studios first, followed by Inspired Gaming Group, Pragmatic Play, Reel Kingdom, Play’n GO, Hacksaw Gaming, PG SOFT (Pocket Games Soft), NOVOMATIC, Games Global and Nolimit City.

A Different Way to Measure Game Interest

For players browsing a large selection of demo slots, session length provides one way to examine which games sustain interest. Great.com says longer visits may indicate that users are exploring a game’s mechanics or waiting to see whether its features activate.

The measure can produce a different picture from rankings based on total plays. Providers that attract many visits may not necessarily have the longest average sessions, according to the company’s explanation. Great.com says several studios that frequently appear near the top of its most-played rankings did not make this month’s list.

The September post does not include exact average session times for individual providers. Readers therefore cannot compare the duration of sessions across studios or determine the size of the gap between first and tenth place.

ELK Studios Tops a Broad Catalogue

ELK Studios took first place with more than 100 titles represented in play on the platform. Great.com highlights this catalogue size as part of the result, distinguishing broad performance across games from attention concentrated on a single title.

The other entries represent catalogues of varying sizes. Inspired Gaming Group had 26 titles represented, while NOVOMATIC had nine. Pragmatic Play had more than 500 titles in the platform’s catalogue, yet the ranking measures average session duration rather than the number of available games.

Great.com says all ten providers had to pass a minimum activity threshold before appearing in the results. This requirement is intended to prevent a small number of long visits from determining a studio’s position. The post does not disclose the threshold or the individual providers’ session averages.

What Players Can Take From the Results

The ranking gives players another point of reference when exploring demo games, although it does not establish which provider makes the best games. It reflects session behaviour on Great.com, and the company does not claim that demo-session duration directly predicts how people will behave when playing for real money.

Great.com also offers engagement information to game studios and casino operators. Studios can request data on how long players spend with their titles and which markets show activity. Operators can ask which providers hold attention in their respective markets.

The company says all profits from its free-to-play demo platform go to charity.
