Japanese gaming company Konami has reported a strong increase in revenue from its Gaming & Systems business, with help from its fresh casino openings, demand for replacement slot machines, and wider adoption of its casino management technology.
Impressive Growth
For the six months ended September 30, 2026, the company, which last month announced it would move deeper into the Class II gaming market, announced a remarkable revenue growth of JPY 25.1 billion ($159 million).
The figure signaled a 41.3% boost compared with the same period last year.
At the same time, segment profit went up even quicker, rising a whopping 154.4% to reach JPY 2.41 billion ($15.3 million).
Konami explained the results through stable conditions in key markets, particularly North America and Australia, where new casino developments and replacement demand at existing properties have created additional opportunities for its gaming products.
Highlights of its recent releases include the Solstice 49C slot machine that has been showered with positive feedback from the market, as well as the BOMBERMAN game series, which has also continued to perform well in North America
In parallel, Dragon Rush and Bull Rush Stampede have recorded encouraging results in the land Down Under.
More Than 150,000 Machines Tied to SYNKROS
The company is also seeing growing demand for its SYNKROS casino management system, which is being adopted by an increasing number of casino properties and cruise ships operated by Carnival Corporation.
The company has also reported that, currently, no less than 150,000 slot machines are connected to the SYNKROS platform. The latter is a system aimed at supporting casino operations and is becoming an increasingly important part of its gaming business.
Looking ahead, Konami didn’t shy away from admitting that competition in the gaming equipment market remains strong, with rival companies constantly introducing new products.
Konami added that it plans to respond by creating new slot machines, gaming content and additional features for its casino management technology.
The company also took the opportunity to mention further opportunities for SYNKROS, with special emphasis on the growing cruise sector, where installations keep expanding.
Several casino facilities have also selected the system, supporting Konami’s plans to increase its presence in the market.
More Than Gaming
Beyond the gaming field, Konami also reported similarly excellent results across its wider business, with consolidated revenue for the six-month period rising 37% year on year to JPY 308 billion ($1.95 billion).
Profit attributable to parent company owners also went up by 70.5% to JPY 79.2 billion ($501 million), with all major business segments contributing to the improvement.
Growth was reported across Digital Entertainment, Arcade Games and Sports, alongside the stronger performance of Gaming & Systems.
The latest figures underline the importance of Konami’s casino operations and technology business as the company continues to expand its presence in established gaming markets and pursue new opportunities in casinos and cruise ships.
