A lucky Massachusetts Lottery player has won a seven-figure top prize from one of the lottery’s scratch-off games. This was notably one of the last top prizes remaining in that same game.
Berkshire County Player Wins Seven-Figure Sum
According to the Massachusetts Lottery, a player in Berkshire County won a huge prize after buying a ticket worth some $4 million. The mouth-watering sum was won on a 100X scratch off ticket that was purchased on July 21.
While details are still sparse, Massachusetts Lottery officials confirmed that the winning ticket was purchased from Bucky’s Tavern in Lee.
The $4 million won by the player is also one of the final top prizes remaining in the 100X game. For reference, 100X is a $10 game featuring three top prizes of $4 million at launch. Now, only one of these prizes remains unclaimed. At the same time, the game also features seven second-tier prizes of $1 million, only four of which have been claimed so far.
The lottery lists the chances of winning a top prize at 1 in 5,376,000 and the chances of winning a second-tier prize at 1 in 2,304,000.
More Wins Happened in the Bay State
The $4 million win happened shortly after a player in Massachusetts won $1 million from the Powerball game. The lucky ticket was sold at Quisqueya Food Mart in Lynn.
Earlier this month, a lucky player secured a $4 million payout on a $4,000,000 EXTREME Cash ticket. The winning ticket was purchased from Honey Farms in Northboro. The prize in question was claimed by a Massachusetts trust called the Backseat Mayor Nominee Trust.
Earlier prizes in Massachusetts included a woman who won $500,000 from the “$500,000 Frenzy” instant ticket game on July 6 and a $1 million prize from the 100X game that landed earlier this month.
