Optimove Embraces AI, Slashes Workforce by 10%

Optimove, the creator of Positionless Marketing, announced that it will be reducing its workforce amid its continued focus on AI-based solutions. While the company acknowledged that AI alone isn’t enough to make a good product, it also emphasized the importance of rethinking its approach to business.

Optimove Makes a Difficult Choice

The move was announced by Pini Yakuel, Optimove’s founder and chief executive officer, via a LinkedIn post. Yakuel explained the company’s reasoning for the difficult move, saying that his team determined that this was the best solution for the business.

According to Yakuel, the AI era is “rapidly changing what it takes to build and lead a great software company.” However, he added that it is no longer enough to simply graft AI solutions to a product, but rather to rethink one’s own approach to making business decisions, serving customers, and structuring one’s team.

With Optimove looking to remain ahead of the curve, the company recognized the importance of changing and adapting according to the market’s demands. As a result, Yakuel announced that the company has made “the painful decision” to part ways with roughly 10% of its employees.

While Yakuel insisted that this wasn’t an easy choice, he added that he believes in the importance of the company’s continued shift toward AI.

That is why we are making this move now, while Optimove is financially healthy, growing, and serving some of the world’s leading brands. We are acting from a position of strength, with a clear view of the company we need to become in order to lead in the years ahead.

Optimove Moves with Focus, Discipline, Speed, and Courage

Yakuel reassured Optimove’s partners and customers that this change is all about making the company faster, sharper and more innovative. He said that the company seeks to incorporate AI not only in its product, but also in the way it operates and supports its clients.

At the same time, Optimove’s remaining workers will receive access to AI tools and training that will boost their capabilities as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Yakuel thanked the departing workers for their role in shaping the company and promised to do his best to support them through this transition.
