Play’n GO Revisits a Beloved Franchise
Play’n GO’s Viking Runecraft 1000 is the latest addition to the beloved Viking Runecraft series, which has been running for years, offering players countless adventures alongside the old Norse gods.
The game introduces players to Thor, Freya, and Heimdall, three deities, all of whom possess unique powers that make the difference between winning and losing. The gods preside over every round, activating unique effects that guide the flow of the game.
Heimdall’s Landing Multipliers feature awards multipliers during a spin without any. Freya, on the other hand, leverages her Upgrade Multiplier feature to upgrade multipliers. When multipliers have already been upgraded once and the round cascades, Freya can trigger Thor’s Volatile Upgrade. The Volatile Upgrade increases the values up to the maximum of 1,000x. This feature can be triggered multiple times per cascade, but cannot upgrade max multipliers.
Three or more Scatter symbols trigger the Free Spins bonus where players get 12 free spins. The feature can be retriggered, allowing players to win up to 36 free spins per trigger.
Viking Runecraft 1000 Is All About Arming Players with Divine Powers
Magnus Wallentin, games ambassador at Play’n GO, said that his team was glad to return to the Viking Runecraft franchise and craft the latest entry in this series. He added that the new mechanics of Viking Runecraft 1000 really highlight what the game is all about.
Viking Runecraft has always been about putting the power of the gods in players’ hands, and this release leans into that more than ever. The god-led multiplier progression gives every round a real sense of build and momentum, and it’s a fitting next chapter for one of our most recognisable worlds.

In other news, Play’n GO recently released Stompin’ Gold, a playful Bigfoot-themed slot where a young explorer seeks to uncover evidence of this famous cryptid.
